Brian Morley

Brian Morley is the founder of Emerge Works, bringing 20 years of commercial product development & marketing experience in the healthcare industry. He has what some may call a meddlesome nature, with an insatiable appetite to explore new avenues often unseen by others & to solve problems by deeply understanding why & how things work. Emerge provides him the vehicle to plug into the entrepreneurial ecosystem, where he has been rolling up his sleeves & getting to work to quickly become a key member of a vibrant community of innovators. Following his passion, purpose & energy, Brian is bringing his unique, analytical yet imaginative approach to solving problems & bringing his infectious positivity & inspiration to his partners & clients.   

Professionally, Brian has had the privilege of being part of two of the top global orthopedic organizations, Synthes & Johnson & Johnson, working alongside some of the most talented people in the world. In the first decade of his career, Brian honed his skills in product development, ranging from safety wearables, electro-mechanical laboratory equipment, orthopedic power tools, implants & instrumentation. With his desire to drive strategy & gain a deeper understanding of how technology can impact patients & physicians, Brian moved into marketing, developing & executing strategic initiatives across the Spine orthopedic space. Spearheading multiple major product launches, M&A initiatives, strategic partnerships, accounting for hundreds of millions of revenue gained, Brian has the experience to navigate even the most challenging market. Within the Providence Innovation Hub, Brian is the NEMIC SMARTEAM Marketing Strategist, a Life Science Advisor for RI BIO, provides pro-bono advisory services through Brown University, the Innovation Studios/CIC & RIHUB.

Brian believes in the power of family & community & happily takes on the responsibility to represent them. You will find Brian spearheading and supporting many local initiatives, volunteering, while always advocating for the small businesses within his community.  

Brian resides in Barrington, RI with his wife, Robin & their three free-spirited & mostly well-behaved young children, where his crafty spirit, love of family & imagination is well utilized.
